Puzzles, of which there are many, revolve around Tri Force Heroes' new feature - the ability to stack your heroes into a two or three person tall totem pole, perfect for reaching high up switches, enemies and platforms. Once you've decided how you'll be playing, you get to venture out into a range of maze-like dungeons filled with puzzles, enemies and traps, on a quest to defeat a wicked witch. While the game's other multiplayer options are fantastic - it has full support for download play, so three people can play along even if only one person owns a copy of the game, and it supports both online and offline play - you'll have to either round three people up, or venture out on your own. That in and of itself isn't a problem, but it's important to note that Tri Force Heroes actually only lets you play either on your own, or in a group of three players - there's no option to play as a pair. It's worth pointing out that "tri" is the operative word here, as the game has been designed from the ground up to be played by three players.
